'SunlitVerge started out as a dream to offer authentic Neapolitan pizza in Via Giuseppe Garibaldi, 2. Established by the Romano clan in 1985, our small family-owned pizzeria has honored recipes passed on for many generations.
Marco Romano, our progenitor, mastered the art of pizza creation during her travels in Italy, learning from esteemed pizzaiolos in Naples, where pizza originated. After her return to the UK, she endeavored to replicate the essence of true Italian pizza, adhering to classical techniques and selecting only premium ingredients.
Beginning as a quaint 12-seat eatery, we've flourished into a cherished community fixture, yet our pledge to craft and authenticity remains unshaken. Employing ancestral wood-fired ovens, our dough is freshly prepared each day, and we continue to source exemplary ingredients.
Still under family ownership, 'SunlitVerge' is currently steered by the second generation of the Romano family, who lead our enthusiastic team. While we have adopted contemporary advancements, at our core, we're devoted to producing delectable, authentic pizzas that unite patrons.
